Talocrural angle
8-15°
Radiography (Mortise (15° internal rotation))
Radiography (Anteroposterior)
Line between the two malleolus. The talocrural angle is the angle between this line and the tibial plafond.
A second talocrural angle exists and it is formed by a line between the two malleolus and a perpendicular line to tibial plafond. The normal value for this angle is 79-87°.
The difference between right and left talocrural angle must be <5°.
Some authors advocate that the difference must be <3°.
